According to the data released on October 19 by the National Bureau of Statistics of Sinochem. com, in September 2018, the added value of industries above scale increased by 5.8% year on year, and fell by 0.3 percentage points compared with August. From a ring-to-ring perspective, in September, the value-added of industries above scale increased by 0.50% compared with the previous month. Among them, the manufacturing of chemical raw materials and chemicals increased by 5.0%.

In three categories, in September, the value-added of mining industry increased by 2.2% year-on-year, 0.2 percentage points faster than in August; the manufacturing industry increased by 5.7% and fell by 0.4 percentage points; and the production and supply of electricity, heat, gas and water increased by 11.0% and accelerated by 1.1 percentage points.

In terms of economic types, in September, the added value of state-owned holding enterprises increased by 5.6%, collective enterprises by 2.0%, joint-stock enterprises by 6.3%, and foreign and Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan-invested enterprises by 3.2%.

In September, 38 of the 41 major industries maintained year-on-year growth in value added. Among them, agricultural and sideline food processing industry grew by 5.5%, textile industry by 0.8%, chemical raw materials and chemical products manufacturing industry by 5.0%, non-metallic mineral products industry by 5.2%, ferrous metal smelting and calendering industry by 10.1%, non-ferrous metal smelting and calendering industry by 9.8%, general equipment manufacturing industry by 6.1%, special equipment manufacturing industry by 9.7%, automobile manufacturing industry by 0.7%, iron industry by 9.8%. Road, ship, aerospace and other transport equipment manufacturing industry grew by 2.4%, electrical machinery and equipment manufacturing industry by 5.2%, computer, communications and other electronic equipment manufacturing industry by 12.6%, and power, thermal production and supply industry by 11.0%.

Regionally, in September, the added value of the eastern region increased by 4.8%, the central region by 7.0%, the western region by 7.4%, and the northeastern region by 4.7%.

In September, 324 of 596 products increased year-on-year. Among them, 96.75 million tons of steel, an increase of 9.8%; 207.81 million tons of cement, an increase of 5.0%; 4.56 million tons of ten non-ferrous metals, an increase of 5.8%; 16.11 million tons of ethylene, an increase of 3.5%; 24.26 million cars, a decrease of 10.6%; 1.028 million cars, a decrease of 8.6%; 548.3 billion kWh of power generation, an increase of 4.6%; 51.34 million tons of crude oil processing, an increase of 49%.

In September, the product sales rate of industrial enterprises was 98.8%, down 0.4 percentage points from the same month last year. Industrial enterprises realized export delivery value of 1183.9 billion yuan, an increase of 11.7% over the same period last year.

From January to September, the value added of industries above scale increased by 6.4% year on year, and the growth rate dropped by 0.1 percentage points compared with 1-8.
